Russian-German Joint Venture “SP Sedin-Schiess’’ was established in 1988 on the base of Krasnodar machine tool plant named after G.M. Sedin – one of the world greatest manufacturers of the vertical lathes.
The German firm Schiess, world well-known manufacturer of the vertical lathes and machining centers has become the foreign partner. In 2001 the 90th anniversary of the Sedin plant was celebrated.
The main product is vertical lathes and machining centers with maximum machining diameters from 500 to 5000 mm.
